I worked for ASUS back in the late 00s, when they still made quality products. I did Linux, Server, EEEPC, and Level 2 support calls.
I can’t recommend them anymore.

What happens when the Linux kernel drops support for xorg? Do they intend to fork an older version of the kernel in order to keep support?

Well, the GrapheneOS team announced that they will be able to support Pixel devices going forward, despite Google being little bitches.
I will look into flashing another device with LineageOS to tinker with.

I live in a rural area of the US. A car is required to do most anything. The nearest city is about an hour drive away.
I have a hybrid that gets 50mpg, so it’s not like I’m completely unconscious of environmental concerns. Plus Toyota is has made all of their new Camrys hybrid. By 2027 all of the RAV4 will be.
