Definitely a valid thing to have. Imo, as long as it provides value to you creatively or intellectually, then it’s a worthwhile hobby. It sounds like you are using it as well, so that’s just a bonus really.

The problem is they didn’t initiate the DMCA process at all, nor did the report submitted have anything to do with Copyright Infringement. They submitted a fraud/phishing report, as if the domain itself was serving or facilitating malicious content harmful to someone who visits it… So forget the DMCA process, this was straight up just corner cutting on the part of the firm representing Funko that misrepresented the nature of the situation as a whole.
I am a Linux user. Bizarre assumption to make given my excitement over a Wayland specific Discord feature. But I don’t have any actual qualms with how Discord implements its own services. Matrix just doesn’t fit the bill for me. If you enjoy it, and it suits your needs then all the power to you. It just isn’t what works for me.
Not if I want calling, video chat, screen sharing and role based chat rooms all in the same place. I’ve explored this, but it just isn’t feature complete enough at the moment. I’d definitely describe myself as a Discord power user and Matrix just doesn’t manage it.

Can’t speak for them, but it’s very useful for interfacing with any number of smart watches/scales and more with on-device data storage. It doesn’t always support things perfectly, but it’s definitely good enough to prevent a need for manufactuer specific apps for the devices it does support.
The selling point for me right now with Plasma is how well rounded it is. It’s also currently the only desktop env offering HDR support, which means it’s basically a must for me.

Absolutely. Having such good UX is uncommon for these kinds of projects since its most contributors are going to be focused on reverse engineering tasks. It’s not to say that good UX isn’t associated with good programming, but it’s not terribly common that a project focused on reverse engineering puts effort into front-end development.
Dolphin is such a well fleshed out emulation monster that I’m consistently disappointed with other emulators that don’t let me tweak things quite to the same degree. I can’t tell if it’s just the nature of Nintendo’s console architecture from that era, or if there simply isn’t the same degree of effort/priority put into exposing those kinds of features in other emulators.

I see this comment every now and then, and it always forgets the cost of the transaction, confirmation time, and of course, the need for miners to exist to process these confirmations/transactions. The energy cost is extraordinary, and the end user is taxed for the use of their own dollars.
It’s not really feasible on a broad scale. Bitcoin is a holding stock, not a valid currency. Its value only increases because it manufactures its own scarcity. And as its scarcity increases, it naturally moves toward centralization since mining becomes too large an activity for the individual to reap any benefit. You can argue for proof of stake to eliminate the need for mining, but then you open the doors to centralization more immediately.
