I have two friends playing PoE2 in windows and they have had tons of problems with the game crashing.
I’m running it in linux and I’ve had one crash in 65 hours of playtime.

22 was MMO and shooters mostly, 23 was dominated by racing games. 24 was BG3 and Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts… mostly just UA.

I have a bunch of ships in the game. The most fun I’ve ever had in the game was after a reset I ignored all of the other ships I had and just focused on starting with the cheapest ship in the game and earning my way up. I had a blast.
I haven’t touched the game in probably 3 years, basically just waiting for more things to get finished before jumping back in. But it is hard to get excited for the game with how long it has been and how… not good things have been in the company.
It isn’t a scam, just incredibly mismanaged. Chris Robert’s has a very hard time saying “this is good enough” and that makes the company bleed money as they repeatedly remake things. People then don’t tell Chris no. They weren’t making a good space Sim, they were making the best darn space Sim evah!
They’ve completely redone the flight model several times to various levels of success. Time frames get so damm long that they have to go back and remake huge chunks of the game in order to keep things up to snuff graphically.
I get the feeling that they never felt the need to stress out about timelines as the funding kept rolling in, in fact the funding accelerated over time! The game has 183 different ships all designed down to the tiniest detail in the game right now. That’s a fuck ton of work hours, but ship sales gets the funding rolling so they have to keep cranking out new ships.
I do really like playing the game, but it is really a shitshow for management. There was one point where they had to throw away a massive amount of work because one studio was making things that didn’t fit the metrics for scale and animation of the rest of the game.
Edit: and ships are a dumb thing to buy anyway! You can earn them in game anyway for really not all that much work. It’s the most cost inefficient grind skip I’ve ever seen in a game.
I use IEMs through a dongle dac because I have an OLED that has interference on the audio board and I’ve been too lazy to open it up to isolate it and I don’t want to wait to send it into Valve for repair.
The only game that is a PS5 exclusive that I really want is the new Gran Turismo. But I’m not going to buy a PS5 just for one game.
Every other game I want on the PS5 is eventually going to be on PC anyway.
There’s a workaround where you can install Chrome then install ipp/cups printing from the chrome web store, then save whatever file you need printed to Google docs.
I didn’t play much of it but it ran well when I tired it. I just decided it was the type of game I wanted to plat with all the settings maxed on my laptop.
Pan fried this stuff was good, mixed in with a bunch of stuff in a rice cooker, just awful. Every other fake meat I’ve tried works fine for lazy rice cooker cooking, not this stuff.
Pong. My dad had a old Atari pong system.
I’m partial to the 8bitdo Pro 2. Comfortable and has two back buttons.
Gentoo was my second linux Distro ever some time in 2003 or 2004.
Installed it by printing out the full install doc, which was like 30 or 40 pages, and starting up a stage one install. I got through the entire install by following the instructions because the documentation was that good.
I remember having a problem and hopping on an irc chat to ask for help and people there being baffled about the basic level questions I was asking while having a working Gentoo install.
I have $25 wired IEMS that sound better than my most expensive Bluetooth tws sets. I’ve taken to just listing to podcasts and YouTube videos with my Bluetooth sets at work.
I used to be a big fan of Samsung, but over the past couple years it has become a do not buy brand for me. They keep doing anticompetitive stuff with their phones so my next phone won’t be one.
Start of 2024 my Samsung TV that wasn’t that old up and died. And my less than a year old Samsung monitor is flickering.
My watch 6 classic is my favorite smart watch I’ve ever had, but in order to get it working well on a non Samsung phone you need to go through a bunch of bullshit hassle.
I was going to buy a PS5, then I figured I’d wait for the pro refresh model, then I figured I’d rather spend the money on nice headphones. Longer I go without the more the urge just… goes away.
Might get the PS6 whenever that rolls around.
I got it refunded. I’ll play it in a couple years after all of the patches and when I have a new gpu
A friend of mine worked in home depot, there was an old guy who worked there, loved to sexually harass younger women. They complained, multiple times, raised the issue higher in corporate. Corporate came down and declared it a “he said she said” situation even with multiple complaints, one of them being a customer. Did nothing, old guy got worse when he realized he could get away with it.
More complaints, woman who made the newest complaint got a talking to for bringing up a situation that had been settled.
In the article they do post about “investor concerns”
