It’s like Batman where penguin is the big head honcho, and now all the slimy underlings start to look up to him because he gets away with so much, and now everyone else wants to do the same thing because they think there’s no consequences except that we have no Batman

Unfortunately you’re a little bit behind on the times. They basically gave up on fighting bots because they know that they pay a subscription and there’s no point in getting rid of them if they are a recurring source of revenue, so they quietly stopped fighting back against them and claim that it’s not possible to solve the problem when they know exactly what they can do to solve it. Endgame is basically non-existent, it’s literally just grinding the same exact bosses infinitely to fill out collection log or get a specific pet. That’s the entire end game. They have done nothing to actually make the game more enjoyable and that’s kind of a problem for people because if you’ve already maxed wood cutting and fishing, what’s the incentive of doing it again on another account?

They keep selling it to different companies, now it’s owned by a shitty investment company that basically kills off the companies it buys so it owns the IP and doesn’t have to keep the games alive. It can then flip the IP for huge amounts of money. But anyway… Both versions of the game are just cash grabs at this point designed to waste the maximum amount of players time

DuckWrangler9000@lemmy.worldOPto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Does the USA simply have no food safety standard at all?315·7 months agoThat’s not what the dictionary definition of sanitary is. Seriously, go look it up. According to Merriam-Webster, it first says: Of or relating to health. Plastic leaching into stuff is not healthy. No one has ever proved that it’s safe. The burden of proof is always proving that something is harmful, and then it’s classified as harmful. The problem is, we don’t know something is harmful for decades, or longer. People literally believed that it was safe to have cocaine in Coca-Cola and that cigarettes were completely harmless. We also believe that vaping is not harmful, and that marijuana isn’t harmful either. Who knows if that’ll be discovered as being extremely harmful to your health in 100 years or so.
So to me personally, I don’t find it sanitary to involve something in the process that you have no idea whatsoever if it affects your health or not. I would call that unsanitary.

It’s the standard. You will work your ass off your entire life, and you will be grateful for your job, they will not be grateful for you. That’s the standard that has been set in the USA. Hell, at least once a week I’m on a call with some other team and there’s someone calling in from a doctor’s office. Had a guy say he had to step out of the doctor’s office mid visit with his doctor just to take a call and I thought that was the most absurd and ridiculous thing I have heard in a really long time. You’re literally in the chair talking to the doctor and you say hold on sorry I got to leave really quick for business. Like what the heck?
DuckWrangler9000@lemmy.worldOPto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do women avoid talking to men?53·7 months agotbh I hate interacting with other men online especially on bsky because they’re creeps, and I’ve always been a very not-creepy normal guy. I get along very well with other people irl and see other men just saying the creepiest stuff. like for example a guy gif reacts to a selfie a woman posts that says “step on me” like ew. Women seem to offer much more engaging and real conversations with dimension and depth
DuckWrangler9000@lemmy.worldOPto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do women avoid talking to men?613·7 months agoThis probably comes from a life with no shortage of blokes trying to get their foot in the door under the guise of “friendship”.
So if a guy talks plainly and non-aggressively, like a normal and rational person with no insensitive comments or uncomfortable flirting… They can’t be friends? I guess that’s my confusion. I remember the world when I grew up being a bit more simple.
DuckWrangler9000@lemmy.worldOPto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why can't someone create a public alternative to health insurance in the USA?2·7 months agoI feel like you in many others blame the insurance companies for basically everything which is fair, but what you are excluding conveniently is the fact that it’s not just the insurance companies that are doing this extortion, it’s also the leaders and people in charge. Hospital administration, pharmacy managers, and so many others. If everyone started saying no and stopped allowing this, it would never happen. If they cut out the insurance companies entirely and started making their own decisions on treatments and if the insurance doesn’t cover it, so be it, we’ll eat the cost, That’s kind of the way the world worked before insurance became so big and massive. We take care of people in our hospitals and health care system and figure out the payment and insurance later. Would that be costly, probably. But it’s not as bad as the fear mongers want people to think it would be, that’s what I feel. They want us to think that healthcare is so expensive without insurance that no one would ever possibly be able to afford it in a thousand years so we have to have insurance, when that’s not really the case, there were times when people simply did not have health insurance widely, and they still went to the doctor or went to the hospital. I mean hell look at other countries?

Yes, I’ve used both on Windows 11. Unfortunately, does nothing for the User Interface size. But that’s exactly what I had to do to get the original games to run before this shameless flip.
