Vouching for PopOS, which has been my primary OS for years. The only thing I run a Win VM for is the old Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas & Campaign Cartographer. I suppose I could tinker with Wine, but it tends to be finicky with the latter.

Constantly having issues
You’re going to see a lot of issues on Linux boards because people go to then for help. I’ve been running Linux since 2020 and though there have been hiccups, its been remarkably reliable. Having said that, when there ARE issues, it can take some digging to find answers.
Is it not stable
Moreso than Win 11, in my experience. I use Win 11 at work and I’ve needed a system wipe twice. Once because networking just… stopped… and once because appx apps decided not to load.
Ongoing issues
Plugging PopOS as a good “set and forget” distro that is easy to grasp. The workflow is very MacOS and the tweaks they’ve made make for a friendlier interface v Ubuntu, IMO.
Incels using a word offensively does not make the word inherently offensive, and by letting them reframe the word in their favor you’re giving them power they do not deserve.
When using male/female to denote biological sex, the words should not be offensive. “Were you born malr or female” in a medical settting can be vital to treatments, for example.
Generally, though, people ought to be using gender.
Part of it is either Reddit manipulating search positioning or Google (most people’s default search) prioritizing Reddit results. Searching for answers to questions often results in a half page of Reddit links. They may not be relevant, but that doesn’t become apparent until you’re there.
I’ve played and DMed all but 4E, and 5E is easily the most accessible version I’ve played. I agree, though; 5E with some tweaks works very well as a video game. 3.5E, as much as I love it, can get incredibly complex very quickly. AD&D is, putting it kindly, a shitshow. The system is needlessly complex and convoluted.
Dark Alliance was a bit of a mess from what I hear.
Critical Role does great, but for the most part Wizards has left its own setting to languish. Most of the lore from Faerun is now 100+ years out of date (in-game) with new sourcebooks rehashing versus moving the world forward. Unless you’re a Drizzt fan, you’re not getting a ton as far as… well, anything is concerned. Even Dark Alliance is a rehash of Salvatore’s fiction.
This may not have been an instance of it spying on you; what can you do may be similar to other searches involving privacy, but one would do well to remember thst companies have been repeatedly caught spying on users.

I’m sharing to say that whether this is an instance of spying or weird coincidence, you should absolutely assume that companies will violate your privacy at every opportunity because that’s what they’ve done.
Yes, I recall when they had a policy of never allowing account deletion.
I mean, they let themselves get bought by Yahoo and they banned erotic art. Its like they want to fail.
And when they again need people, they’ll whine about how no one wants to work for them. Or how workers are “taking advantage.”
Story killed gaming? Nah… story-driven games are what took games out of the basement and into the mainstream. One can only make so many “I have a gun / sword and I kill the things” games before it gets repetitive.
Concur. Larian is a breath of fresh air in a field saturated with pay-to-win, monetized, microtransaction nonsense. I’m not convinced they haven’t traveled across dimensions to restore fun and sanity to a hobby that has been all but ruined by greed and laziness.
I’ve made the “promotion later” mistake once. I was as new at what I do as he was; taught me not to trust corps to do the right thing if it isn’t in writing and even then, not.
Sold, it’ll make a hell of a projectile in my trebuchet.
The only way to find out is to send me all of your money.
Bisexual is defined as attraction to more than one gender, where gender is a component of the attraction. So if you 96% like one gender, 3% another, and 1% yet another, that’s bi. If you’re 60/40, that’s bi too. Bi = multiple genders where gender plays a factor. It has never meant only 50/50.
Pansexual is attraction to people where gender doesn’t play a role. Pansexuals’ patterns may look like a bisexual’s patterns because they date across genders, but the attraction matrix is different.
Finsexual (Gynesexual) is attracted to feminine traits generally. Whether penis or vagina, it is the femininity they like. I can speak to this as this is me. I like feminity, not necessarily women particularly. I use bisexual as shorthand because most people “get” that.

I’d also class as demi, so I prefer that one if I were inclined to advertise my sexuality offline.
Larian is one of the best things to happen to Faerun in quite some time. Hasbro is hands down the worst thing to happen to both Faerun and D&D in, well, ever. Larian showed us what Faerun can be. Handing the reins back to Hasbro is understandable but I weep for Faerun.
