  • I used to use caffeine but i stopped a few years ago. During the pandemic i went on adderall because i was struggling to help my kids do online school. I stopped adderall because i moved and adhd’d away my therapist.

Mostly i cope with routine. I eat the same foods for breakfast and lunch most days. I work on unmasking and being radically honest about my struggles with adhd to people around me. I setup auto billpay as much as possible and i cycle through the same few hobbies so i dont waste too much money.

I’ve recently found that sleep is very important to my body’s needs. If my sleep cycle is fucked then my symptoms get wild.

  • Ive moved around a bit as an adult. Ive found that hobby groups are great to make friends. If you show up every week and don’t intentionally make anyone else feel shitty, you’ll find that you have friends after a few months.

Ive done this with disc golf, ultimate frisbee, magic the gathering, dungeons and dragons.

If you show up regularly with the intention of having a good time, people will also show up with the intention of having a good time with you

  • Hello im a middle aged auadhdist. Im weird/ curious/ strange/ unusual. I have self identified as these terms for decades.

Calling these conservatives weird is ok with me because they’re obsessed with homogeneity. They get flustered when they repeat strong- man phrases and people call them out of it. It causes them self- reflect, and to be aware of their echo chamber.

It’s about context, which can be challenging to spot to be sure. But in the context of fascists erasing the identity of a nation as a melting pot that accepts the tired huddled masses it’s important to push the narrative that weird isn’t bad. Because fascists want to erase anything they think is weird.

Calling them weird unnerves them because they think they are superior for some innate unearned reason.

Calling a self identified weirdo weird warns the weirdo they are in the presence of someone who wants to oppress the weird out.

  • It’s a very small percentage of the population that is affected by bike seats without center channels. It may help you, it probably won’t harm you.

A slight warning there is some concern that the cut out collapses as the saddle ages, causing the padding to pinch your anatomy rather than support it. The less pressing on your saddle the less of a concern this is.

The best place to have padding while riding your bike is against your anatomy. Wear a chamois if you’re planning on riding longer distances. You can get them as either the classic spandex or as a pair of padded briefs you wear under some shorts.

The most important part to bike saddle fitting is thus:

    1. A saddle designed to support the width of your sit bones

    2. A saddle designed for the posture you ride your bike with (a euro style city bike needs a much different saddle than a keirin race bike)
