Yeah, that’s true: Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of SpongeBob, and his team certainly had some socially critical intent when they created the show and its characters - after all, there are often deliberately exaggerated everyday situations and the like which address social issues in a humorous way.

But also yeah, exactly: I added /s because, while the underlying message is at least somewhat recognizable, I presented it in such a pretentious way. I was just lazing around in bed and thought I’d have a little fun with some kind of pseudo-intellectual silliness.

So /s - mainly so no one here thinks I’m some completely out-of-touch political theorist or something who actually takes this exaggerated view all too seriously :)

The rivalry between Mr. Krabs and Sheldon J. Plankton further highlights the system’s subtly coercive nature: their ceaseless competition is less about innovation than about maintaining status atop the same extractive order, a ruthless free market theater in which two capitalists conserve and contest power while workers absorb the costs. The comedy works because it literalizes these dynamics - affection as account entry, friendship as transaction - so that the satirical clarity of the show forces viewers, even while amused, to recognize how profit as an organizing principle reshapes everyday life and renders cheerfulness itself a technique of compliance.

Seriously, how can any reasonably rational person accept this? Why doesn’t the population paralyze the country with a general strike until this criminal regime is forced to resign? That would also be an opportunity to finally overcome the associated oligarchy and force through the reforms that have been necessary for ages. This includes a fundamental update of the constitution, which has not been updated for at least 150 years, something the US seems to be proud of for some inexplicable reason, which can only mean that this country is unaware that it is still celebrating a system of apartheid.

The same applies to the rule that constitutional judges are elected for life - for obvious reasons, there is no other democratic country in the world that would adhere to this; likewise, there is no democratic country that has an electoral college system or similar that does not even take into account the population of a particular state.

Well, that may be one of the countless reasons why the US, under reasonably sensible leadership, has not attempted to attack Iran. Now it has come to pass because a pedophile, threatened by his heinous deeds catching up with him, decided to try it anyway in order to distract from the crimes he and his degenerate crew are committing - in open violation of international law as well as US law. He and his accomplices in Israel apparently trust that the US citizens will let him get away with it unpunished. How about it, US citizens - is that the case? Is there really no justice left in your country?

The prominent hacker Kevin Mitnick, on the other hand, was sentenced to a long prison term, with the judge perhaps slightly overestimating the danger he posed:

Denke, ihm dient die Wiederwahl als Parteivorsitzender und damit die direkte Regierungsbeteiligung eher als Sprungbrett in einen gut bezahlten Aufsichtsratsposten oder eine ähnliche, bestens dotierte “Anschlussverwertung” - da ist Finanzminister und Vizekanzler in einer neoliberalen Koalition um einen Kanzler, der mehr Lobbyist als Volksvertreter ist, doch genau das richtige.

Glaube kaum, dass sich ein ausgemachter Opportunist wie Klingbeil mit einer schnöden Pension zufrieden geben wird. Wenn es ihm auch nur im Entferntesten um seine Partei gehen würde, hätte er nach der vorausgegangenen, katastrophalen Wahlniederlage selbstverständlich seinen Posten räumen müssen.

Hat er aber nicht und so schafft sich die SPD nun eben selbst ab, um die Karriere der verbliebenen “Schein-Genossen” zu befördern.

Dass Lars Klingbeil nach dem mit Abstand schlechtesten Wahlergebnis, das die SPD jemals hatte, weder zurückgetretenen ist noch abgesetzt wurde, sagt eigentlich schon alles, was man wissen muss…
