What’s more, the AfD clientele is probably either not interested in foreign policy at all or so deep in their world of misinformation that they don’t even know how disastrous Trump’s policies in the US are.

Even if they did know, they probably wouldn’t want to believe that it will be the same fatal mix of blatant incompetence and outright corruption with the AfD if they ever come to power.

I think these voters are so delusional that they have to experience the catastrophe first-hand to realize that they have been deceived - and even then, some still don’t want to believe it.

Das ist ja schon alles richtig, aber ich denke eben, dass nur die Individualebene nicht ansatzweise reichen wird. Das Problem ist der immer noch gelehrte und auch verfolgte Glauben an unendliches Wachstum aus der neoliberalen Wirtschaftstheorie. Solange an diesem fatalen Märchen festgehalten wird - und daran wollen die Grünen offensichtlich wenig ändern - ist absehbar, dass die Folgen katastrophal sein werden. Nicht das ich keine Sympathien für die Grünen hätte, aber mir scheint einfach, dass es inzwischen eine Partei ist, die ihre Kernideen aufgegeben hat, weil sie sich an Lobbyismus und Berufspolitik angepasst haben (Ströbeles gibt es dort m.E. keine mehr).

Ja, aber sein Kernthema gar nicht mehr bringen, checke ich trotzdem nicht - jedenfalls nicht für eine Partei, die in dieser Sache tatsächlich etwas bewegen möchte.

Und ja: Sehe ich auch so. Denke, die grünen machen vor allem Wohlfühl-Umweltpolitik für reiche Leute. Damit wird sich der Klimawandel nicht abwenden lassen, denn das Problem sind eben nicht die kleinen Leute, sondern die ganz großen. Außerdem braucht es eben auch gute Sozialpolitik, mithin Investitionen in die eigene Bevölkerung statt in den weiteren Ausbau des Turbokapitalismus, der die Ressourcen bei einigen wenigen konzentriert.

Wohin das führt, sehen wir ja gerade in den USA und leider auch hierzulande mit 20% AFD, wobei ich leider vermute, dass der Großteil der AFD-Wähler schlichtweg zu stumpf ist, um zu verstehen, dass die AFD eine neoliberale Wirtschaftspolitik à la Trump will, die eben keineswegs im Interesse etwa von Sozialhilfeempfängern ist.

Ja, das hoffe ich auch. Ich denke einfach, dass die Linken noch zu den Parteien gehören, die die Interessen ihrer Wähler ernst nehmen - von der SPD kann man das m.E. nicht mehr behaupten und auch die Grünen scheinen inzwischen deutlich mehr an den Interessen der Industrie als an Umweltschutz orientiert zu sein (Klimawandel war für die im letzten Wahlkampf überhaupt kein Thema).

Das Problem der Linken mit der NATO war eigentlich schon immer die Vormachtstellung der USA in dieser Organisation. Denke nicht, dass die heutigen Linken ein Problem mit einer Nachfolgeorganisation hätten.

Und auch Waffenlieferungen steht man hier nicht rigoros ablehnend gegenüber.

Schau dir mal das Programm der Linken und deren Stimmverhalten an. Diese Partei ist wirklich nicht mehr so wie noch vor drei Jahren.

Was die AFD angeht: Keine Partei in Deutschland spielt Putin und seinen Schergen derart in die Karten - eben so, wie die verrückten MAGA-Nazis in den USA.

Spätestens seitdem die ganzen alt-PDSler zum BSW abgewandert sind, scheinen mir die Linken durchaus wählbar, zumal jetzt ja auch die alte Forderung nach NATO-Austritt deutlich an Relevanz gewonnen hat.

Dass die Linken Russland-enabler wären, halte ich jedenfalls für falsch. Diese Zuschreibung trifft aber auf die AFD zu, da hier autokratische Strukturen angestrebt werden und nachweislich auch Gelder geflossen sind.

Es wird höchste Zeit für eine echte Alternative für Deutschland, eine, die sich entschieden gegen Nazis, Rassismus, Korruption und Völkermord einsetzt - von den Regierungsparteien ist schlichtweg nichts dergleichen zu erwarten.

Denke, 16 Prozent für die SPD bei der letzten Wahl sagt das bereits sehr deutlich.

I’m more concerned with whether US citizens, whose past administrations more or less invented the term, can now recognize for themselves that they are no longer on the side of the “good guys” with this administration at all, but are now the “terrorists” themselves - the very thing that past US administrations denounced (at the time, of course, already completely speciously).

Edit: Trump himself has even brought the term back to a certain extent - and he is not only the personification of evil for the governments of other countries. I just want to make it clear that it’s the same here as with almost everything he does: it’s projection - whatever he accuses others of, he and his corrupt gang are the ones doing it.

I’m not saying this because I believe that Europe, for example, would be much better - I’m saying it because I’m from Germany and we have the history that you all know. It’s not too late to put a stop to Trump and his Nazi colleagues, but it will take civil resistance. If there is no vehement resistance, I fear that history will repeat itself.
