Decades is far from infinite
Idk about infinite, if they stop getting updates they will eventually get phased out and if you can’t download the application it’s also dead. All that aside the sun is going to go super nova eventually.
Also a lot of people don’t want to self host. I doubt you self host your own Lemmy instance for instance.
This building looks like I feel clocking in for work.
Because it’s like old forums where the first person to comment gets engagement
It’s clear words are just vibes to you
They’re literally different legal concepts just like speeding isn’t murder.
I can own a DVD that’s digital ownership.
So if I enjoy a sunset it’s theft because nobody got paid?
Yes you did. You said if you buy something on steam you own it.
No, it’s trespassing and you could be arrested for it not stealing.
Copyright infringement (piracy) has never been theft. The statement about purchasing and ownership gives ground to see creating more of something to be the same as taking something.
Plus you don’t own games on steam, you’ve purchased a license. If you owned them you could resell them.
This initialization took me way too long
I just see three cables on my desk for keyboard, mouse, and headphones and I prefer it like that.
Aesthetics are illogical and often times social conformity rather than personal desire. Like those stupid coiled USB C cables for keyboards that do nothing.
That way instead of having cables for data and power you can have cables for just power and pay more for the device.
I don’t understand the appeal of Bluetooth mice and keyboards while at a desk.
They could literally be Pokemon and I wouldn’t care. I’m not going to defend the largest franchise with one of the most litigious copyright teams that primarily got popular having kids gamble on card packs.
They said you could bring things in so I suppose you could bring the air with you.
After a quick googling it looks like the average person breathes 20-30 cubic meters of air a day.
But a server wouldn’t care about oxygen in the air just the heat.
My concern with this is they said nothing about the exchange of air or heat in this space. Such a small space would get very warm pretty quickly and with it not touching anything it would retain the heat. The air would also not exchange unless you manually did it making it eventually suffocate you.
Do people willing to live in climate extremes count as extremist? /S
They have over 450 employees and operate in six different countries. I don’t know what DnD would be worth but it’s not like Larian is small.
Logically I think it makes more sense for Larian to want to buy the video game rights specifically as anything beyond that would be outside their scope.
I agree with you here but I wouldn’t want to pay for a host for some FOSS project and I wouldn’t host that on my own IP either.
