I’ve worked in machine shops my whole adult life and shit like this crops up at each one in some fashion. The last shop I worked at, one person would just “OOO-OO” loud and everyone across the floor would join in to make a cacophony of ape noises for 5ish minutes. My current shop it’s a “Waooo”. People just get so amped being able to join in.

I have a rusted knife in a badly tanned hide sheath from the early 1900s that an explorer in the family got from a tribe over Africa way (not sure of real geographical location). The thing is primitive and small but could probably be cursed. I don’t have many items that’d fit the description
100% there are songs and music that I adore that were heavily attached to who I was at the time, that, although I still adore, would not have the same impact now. Green day, RHCP, imagine dragons, all those are from different key times in my life that just would not resonate the same with level of impact today.

Drink a full glass of water before bed, eventually you’ll learn how much to drink to wake you at about the correct time. I used to be absolutely dead to the world while sleeping, I even needed a shock bracelet to wake me. Drinking water was one method I used though.
Many trades pay big money just for having the knowledge more than doing work. Being capable =/= Doing lots of work necessarily. I know people being paid big bucks to do nothing until a specific job comes up that requires their niche knowledge. That knowledge can be so hard to find or capable people so sparse that it’s worth paying a lot to have that value on retainer.
Maybe that Dr. Is a specialist? Maybe there’s shortage? There’s plenty of possible reasons, including that person just being a bad worker. Regardless, they definitely spent near a decade to gain enough knowledge and skill to aquire that position. That’s gonna come with a larger salary.
I’ve gone twice, the first time, it was awesome! I was with two friends, we roamed and checked out basically every street. I even got to put a lock on the lock bridge for my partner at the time. Everyone was friendly and 2 of us spoke French so that helped a ton.
The second time I went was a few years after. The terrorist attacks had happened and the experience was not as great. The Eiffel tower is now gated and patrolled, you need had to get in lines and wait to get up close. They also had taken down the lock bridge (I was still with the same partner). It was still a good experience for sure, the vibe was different though.
Paris at night is beautiful, though remember that it is still a city, so treat it as such.
I shall not provide a number for the times having bugles on my fingers has lead to munching my fingers as well. However, there may be a distinct possibility this has happened.
