Warhammer miniature painting is a hobby I intend to pick up when I retire in 20 years.

It’s certainly a challenge, but it is very doable in a small space. If you have a patio or a balcony, you can start by making small things with just hand tools.

I want to try a solo game because I don’t have friends that are interested. But it’s daunting. I also own both Gloomheaven and Frostheaven.

A few dozen boards games, some crazy expensive. The most recent one was the Witcher which was a Kickstarter campaign. I bought a label maker, small zip lock bags, spent a few hours punching out paper tokens and and sorting everything. Haven’t played a single game.

I wonder it’s because it attracted a bunch of people who weren’t into games, but are huge Harry Potter fans.

I got diagnosed with ADHD in my 40s. So, believe me, I learned this the hard way.

Motivation doesn’t work because it’s fleeing. You need to learn discipline. You need to to learn how to do the thing even if you don’t want to do it.

Hating on festool domino is so cliche at this point. There are plenty of youtubers who are very upfront about building with limited tools. I think the expectations from the viewers are also ridiculous sometimes. “I can’t build this. I only have a ziplock back full of ikea allen wrenches, a pocket knife and half a roll of duct tape”.

I know this is a joke, but these kinds of topics are showing up in children’s media these days. Which i think is great. Simple representation matters.
