It’s a while ago but you missed one of their earlier genocides, that is still ongoing, in Tibet.

It’s a good game now. I waited over 2 years to buy it and think it’s the best single player shooter I’ve played since Bioshock/HL2. Have completed it 5 times now using different builds and am thinking about getting the expansion if it goes on sale at xmas.
Ditto. Windows is now impossible to decrapify. Have dipped my toe in Linux gaming about a half dozen times starting in 2004 but it never felt ready til now. Proton, nvidia drivers and distros like Nobara making it not just possible but a better experience.
Wholeheartedly agree. Not too many more though I hope. Once a platform reaches a certain point all the general public arrives and everything goes to shit. You have to keep your corner of the internet nerdyish to avoid this. Been true since the early 2000s for forums and then social media.

You’re not wrong but I don’t see what that has to do with my point, which was - don’t blame distros for this. They can influence the conversation but not control it. If you find what you want isn’t supported then pick something that supports most things like Ubuntu, or Nobara.
Driver support is down to the manufacturer. Distros can’t give you things that don’t exist.
Cheers mate.
Article said one HDMI, at least 3 USB-C + power. Doesn’t mention Ethernet at all. Does the Apple TV have Ethernet? That looks like the form factor they’re starting from.
He sold a majority stake in the Mavs. That’ll be where most of the tax bill comes from. Wants to use the money for something else. Still working with the team operationally.

This is it for me. Easier to get YouTube family thing and now my family doesn’t have ads and doesn’t have to root a phone to install the other apps. If it was just me, sure. I have another 4 people in my life that are hard work when it comes to tech and I have other things to do with my time.
I’m not the person you replied to but I’ve been a first person shooter fan since Wolfenstein 3D and original doom. I had NEVER heard of it til today. First person and tower defense games are basically all I play.
40 something year old here who likes to fix stuff and make simple things at home. Heed this advice younglings. You don’t need the high end products if you’re not using it daily. If you use it til it breaks get something midrange that’s slightly more than what you think you’ll need and if you take care of it, it will last.
Online I see this sort of rage bait all the time. In the real world everyone I talk to thinks there’s arseholes and good people in every age group. Stop feeding the media’s narratives. It’s what made reddit shit and it will ruin Lemmy too if we let it. Downvote it, move on. Too many bots and social media entities use it drive traffic and influence the online conversation that eventually ends up influencing the real world.
2.0 update introduced a bunch of mission bugs and graphical issues for me. Not a fan. Got so frustrated I uninstalled.
I don’t think you’ll regret it. The story is incredibly rich and outcomes depend a lot on your choices and playstyles. It never feels like you’re grinding for levels to me. There’s the occasional bug, but no more than other games I’ve played. I think it’s probably the first genre defining game we’ve seen in about a 15 years.
