So they left out the receiver but kept the am fm button? They could have used a cover/ blind instead. Why wouldn’t they do that? We live in a strange world.

I was previously under the impression that a device must at least be able to receive radio programs in order to be called a radio. But English is not my first language, so I could be wrong.
