If you look at their post history, they have a superiority complex. Zero compassion or desire to give anyone else a break.

And looking at your post history, you don’t have much room to judge. Especially since you’re the one who pulled the Reddit classic of looking through people’s history and cherry picking comments you don’t like. Pot calling kettle black, eh?

Honestly not really. His was clearly a dexterity error while that other guy’s sentence is… not exactly speaking highly on behalf of his intelligence

Defending someone for behaving like a toxic Redditor doesn’t reflect well on you as, intelligent. Being an ass on forums should never be tolerated, let alone excused.

You don’t know their native language, situation nor do you know their cognitive condition at the time.

No but I can see that they’re a member of the US education system based on their wording, content, and context.

                Can you?

I didn’t just make fun of somebody because their English sucks. My French sucks lmao. I mentioned that his comment doesn’t paint him as very intelligent because he was talking shit on an education system (in a vast majority English speaking country, referring to the country as “here” implying both residence in the US and inside knowledge of the US education system (as he knows what happens within), virtually guaranteeing english grammar instruction at some point) while using the grammar of an inebriated 4 year old. Like fuck me dude

Defending someone for behaving like a toxic Redditor

As compared to the person that decides to just randomly talk shit about a country despite the conversation having nothing to do with that? Or compared to the person getting made at the user pointing out their hypocrisy?

Being an ass on forums should never be tolerated, let alone excused. I was pointing out hypocrisy.

You’re the one getting mad about that. If I’m being an ass, then you’re being a bigger one.

You don’t know their native language, situation nor do you know their cognitive condition at the time.

So it’s fine to be an ass on a forum so long as you have Covid? Or did you mean it’s only okay if you’re going off topic to take random pot-shots at western nations?

I wasn’t aware I was throwing shade, but I do have COVID-19. So I’m sorry if I slacked and my lack of solid sleep for over 3 days peaked out, causing you to reveal you’re an unapologetic jerk lol.

You go off topic to throw shade, yet pointing out your hypocrisy makes me the jerk? Sure, buddy.

Also, being sick doesn’t magically give you a pass. Same with being drunk, high, etc.

Wandered in to show love for Mother 3. Ended up reading everything said and gotta say, comparing drunk or high to COVID, is apples and oranges and ya know it bud. No idea if you’re serious about this being about defending your country, but people are allowed to have their opinions and disagree in the United States of America. No one is throwing shade, you misunderstood each other, let it go.

You’re right. People are way more lucid when they have Covid, so they have less of an excuse

The only person throwing shade, is you. Unless mistaken, he’s referring to the American school systems, “No Child Left Behind”, policy. There was no personal reference to the poster he responded to. As for remarks on his grammar, perhaps check your own spelling before you throw stones.

quite a dick move for them to see it to be popular enough to continue re-releasing but not translate it for other regions

It’s not even about translating it. IIRC they have full permission from the creators of the fan translation to use their script and code to get it up and running.

Some people hypothesize that there are legal issues in areas of the game (such as the music) making it difficult, but that didn’t stop them from releasing Earthbound…

Another common hypothesis is that they don’t want to deal with backlash over some of the more odd choices in the game. Some people might take offense to the magypsies, thinking that they’re somehow making a joke of trans or non-binary folks. Others might just lose their shit over there being folks like the magypsies in the game at all. And that’s ignoring the mermaid air refill things making out with a child.

I love the game, but it’s far from standard Nintendo fare in terms of tone and content.

That’s true, but Nintendo also doesn’t seem big on censoring their old content. Jynx’s design got changed in Pokemon, but most re-releases generally don’t have many major changes (even cosmetic ones). I can’t think of anything else they’d try to change.

I guess Mario RPG removed a few potentially “scandalous” things, yet they still let Mario find Peach’s “???” near her bed.

I guess the Magypsies are the problem with Mother 3. Too much redesign work.
