Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing fine and are well prepared for the winter holidays!

We at Dramatic Labs want to sweeten the festive season a little and are therefore giving away a total of 10 copies of Star Trek Resurgence on a platform of your choice (PS4, PS5, Xbox or PC).

Star Trek: Resurgence is a narrative-driven adventure game created by former members of Telltale Games that delivers all the excitement and wonder of the Star Trek universe. Join the crew of the U.S.S. Resolute as first officer Jara Rydek and enlisted engineer Carter Diaz on a mission to prevent an eons-old and powerful force from engulfing everything in its wake!

To take part, you have to comment on which Star Trek games you grew up with and which one was your favourite. The 10 winners will be randomly selected and contacted by me. The giveaway will run until 21st December 23:59 CET.

We would also be very happy if you visit us on our socials:

I must sadly recuse myself from the giveaway (curse my sense of ethics!), but I can confirm that OP is indeed the Community Manager for Star Trek Resurgence at Dramatic Labs.

    Good luck to everyone!

All the old point & clickers were good fun. The one I played the most was TNG A Final Unity. Nostalgia hitting pretty hard right now.

My favorite Star Trek game is the sims. Make sure you have a few people with the name redshirt. Make sure those people have low stats in cooking and make them do all the cleaning. See how long they last. Then have other people as the officers. They just play all the time and enjoy themselves.

I was a big fan of the Elite Force games, but the one I enjoyed most was a DVD game from the mid to late 90s that doesn’t seem to exist. It was similar to the activision Zork games of the era, but Gowron was making Gowron eyes at the screen a lot; I’m considering that I’ve merged two games I played together, and made a false memory, but honestly I don’t know what games those would’ve been either.

See I’m sure that’s some of what I’m remembering, but at least when I played Klingon about 2007 it didn’t seem to be the same game.

(Btw, the Acti Zork games are acted DVD graphical adventures, unlike their text based precursors. Worth a go if you can. )

I really enjoyed Starfleet Academy on SNES. But my favorite games were the Star Trek: Starfleet Command games on PC, especially Starfleet Command Orion Pirates.

By far my favourite ST game is 25th Anniversary from Interplay released in 1992. I grew up in the 70s so TOS was very near and dear to me. In 92 I was reviewing games right at the peak of CD ROM and MS DOS gaming and 25th Anniversary really typified the best of both by including beautiful VGA graphics and a fantastic soundtrack complete with actual sounds from the series and the entire cast in their signature roles. Playing it was like being in the show, nothing else has quite replicated that feeling because it was like the cast was putting on a performance just for me.

Man what games didn’t I play as a kid.

    • ST Armada 1 and 2 (FleetOps)
    • Birth of the Federation
    • ST Borg
    • Elite force 1 and 2
    • The DS9 FPS which I forget the name
    • Bridge commander
    • ST Dominion War
    • Starfleet command 3

There’s probably some I’m forgetting. I’d have to say Armada 2, man I played so many hours of that game. Played around with mods as a kid too.

I’ve actually never played any Star Trek games before - I think the closest I’ve gotten is Stellaris, which definitely made me think of star trek. I don’t know if that disqualifies me, but I might pick this game up anyways, sounds like a good time right now.

Star Trek Armada, hands down the best Star Trek game I’ve played. I do like the feeling of captaining my own ship in Online, nothing beats the feeling of winning a war via RTS.

And now that I’m older, and have seen more Treks, read more books, and have a much greater knowledge of all things Star Trek, I’ve been wanting to replay but I can’t seem to locate my disc… I’ll have to check my digital providers to see if I can find it most likely.

I’d love to see a modern take on a 4X Star Trek. Flavor mods for Stellaris and Sins of a Solar Empire don’t cut it anymore.
