So I just discovered that SmartTube had malware in it (yay) and so I reset my Chromecast I had it set up on.
What is weird though is that when I reset it now it disconnects from the WiFi all the time like seriously every 10 mins or so AND the Mullvad app was showing up back on it but the thing is I didn’t reinstall it.
Is it possible this malware wasn’t wiped from the factory reset? Or am I just paranoid?

YouTube is a fucking malware. I would rather install smartube than using YouTube. Times have changed , you’re data is safe with small hackers than giving it to google.
I prefer my devices without any malware at all but you do you I guess.

My chromecast does that it is awful. When I unplug it to force restart it it works again for a few hours
Its good to know that it might just be the Chromecast itself and not any malware type stuff happening with it.

I also saw this wifi problem listed on a few reddit threads unrelated to SmartTube. Did you experience it before the Chromecast reset ?
I never had that problem before resetting it I guess I was just lucky
