I haven’t played the game, but I’m not allergic to spoilers so I basically know all and I don’t like the current ending / gameplay options. I hope DLC will either add or expand on current ones making them bearable to me.

Do you think it will go on sale again around the time they will release a DLC? Or should I buy now and wait?

You might be happier with a different game, I would look at other RPGs in the genre that fit what gameplay options you would like.

I’m getting near the end of Remnant 2. I am beyond terribly disappointed by the state of BG3’s bugs. I like games with choice making and vanity character creation, if you have any in mind, althought I’ve probably played them already. :c

Well those games are quite different to Elden Ring. Perhaps try the pathfinder games, there are lots of CRPGs to try. I personally only experienced 1 bug in bg3 and it was patched out, but with games of that size you’re going to get some, it’s almost inevitable.

Probably it will go on sale again.

And I’d like to remind you that, many of those Souls DLCs have some opaque ways to access them, and they are mostly only accessible halfway thru the game. So it might not be a bad decision to play it when the DLC is out, some of us might need to start the game all over again / NG+ just to access the DLC, who knows.

If you know everything about the game and if you’ve played previous soulsborne and you just aren’t interested by any of it, then I don’t know if you should buy it at all. DLC won’t fundamentally take it from a game that you don’t like the gameplay of into one that you will, and you already seemingly have removed most of the novelty of the experience by seeing it all.

You’ll have to play it to access the DLC, probably a good deal of it, have you played previous souls games or soulslikes?

Elden Ring and other Souls games are more about the journey than the destination. And normally that means that the lore sucks. It doesn’t.
