Possibly a stupid question, but are you using the wireless dongle that came with the headphones? I have the same headphones and run arch as well, and my pc recognizes the dongle as “Audeze Maxwell usb” or something like that.
I’m running pipewire for my audio system and iirc it worked out of the gate with these headphones, though I did some modifications to get digital surround sound working too.
I only really use LLMs for project ideas, naming things, or recipes, but it’s great for those. For recipes especially, trusting the gaslight machine adds an extra layer of suspense and fun to cooking or baking.
It’s also fun, but not useful, to ask Linux questions - chatgpt specifically told me to restart dbus while in an active GUI session when I asked it about a simple case of unintended behaviour. It’s probably the dumbest Linux advice I’ve heard to date, so I got a lot of enjoyment out of trying it to see how bad it would fuck things up
This is definitely gonna depend on the market you’re in - in Canada, iirc the msrp was $899 and a couple retailers stuck to that for a bit on launch. They went up for a bit after that but now it’s not uncommon to see certain variants at msrp (most often the gigabyte ones ime).
If you’re in the states it’s probably less likely to ever see msrp, unless the orange piece of shit finally dies or stops ripping off consumers with dumbass tariffs.
Like the other person said tho, the msrp for this gen is less relevant cuz amd didn’t make a reference card to actually have to stick to it, so I’d focus more on the price/performance vs a 5070ti for any kind of value assessment (usually way better in both).
I have the M3 and love it, but it’s not a particularly quiet mouse so may not be the biggest upgrade sound-wise

A 3080 10gb is 69-71% the performance of a 9070 xt, so you’d see a pretty big jump in raw fps. For ray tracing, the 3080 is 60-76% the performance, so a similar increase there. It’s also worth keeping in mind these numbers are from the 9070xt launch, and other benchmarks have found the performance increased over time (nearly 10% iirc), so this is probably a lowball of the difference.
It’s also a much quieter card in general, though this depends a lot on the specific variant of each card you have.
I’m in the same boat with a 3080 10gb and I was really itching to snag one when the 9070xt first dropped, but personally I decided to be patient and wait for AMD’s next gen to grab an 80 class gpu (I run 4K so kinda need it).

Proton’s a compatibility layer to translate between games that want to speak to windows and a Linux system. Steam downloads it for you if you turn it on as a setting, and most of the time you shouldn’t have to worry about it past that.
For pirated games: if you have the game as a folder with a game exe rather than an installer, you can still add it to steam pretty easily as a non-steam game and then just enable proton. If it has an installer this can still work, but it’s more of a pain cuz you have to add the installer to steam, run it with proton, and then switch the steam entry’s file location to the newly installed game. I honestly don’t recommend doing it that second way, I’m chronically allergic to bloat (arch btw) and even for me this is a dumb hacky work around.
Also I love the APU in an x870e board. It’s a shame there’s no B850e with pcie Gen. 5.
I hate to say this now long after the build is done, but 8000 series APUs usually downgrade gen 5 lanes to gen 4, so this actually doesn’t matter for the current chip at least. The x16 and 3 gen 5 m.2 slots all become gen 4 with an 8000 series apu in the board, sadly
But my experience with being cisgendered is one of feeling like my spirit would belong wherever it was born to. I identify as a man and would feel out of place in a woman’s body, but if I had been born into a woman’s body I would feel out of place in a man’s. That’s my mental picture of what being cisgendered is.
This is something I struggled with as well, but the more I look into it the more convinced I am that (at least for me personally) feeling this way is simply an indication that I’m agender and just lacking any meaningful dysphoria or reason to act on it.
The way I understand it now is that truly cisgender people actually identify with their assigned gender in a way that I can’t really relate to, but that I see trans people describe as gender euphoria. My own experience is very much what you described, where I identify as male simply because that’s what I was assigned and it doesn’t (really) bother me, and it’s helped me conceptualize dysphoria a lot better to understand that my disconnect isn’t with “wrong gender” but simply with “gender” at all.
I’m not saying the only reason you could struggle to relate the same way I do is not being cis, but maybe you’d benefit the way I did from reading about being agender?

Idk if this fully explains the weird taboo you described, but I’m personally reluctant to ask people questions I know they must get all the time. It can get annoying/draining fielding the same questions from every second person even if they’re mostly well-meaning, so especially in cases where people can’t just not reveal the attribute/hobby/whatever I’m curious about I just try to remember the question to look up later.
Not sure how common that is, but if that’s the cause then what you’ve done with this post is the ideal way to bypass this hesitation imo; just being clear (even just from the context) that you’re choosing to talk about this and not just feeling pressured to explain would make the difference at least for me personally.

Listening to that voice clip I think you sound very femme, and not just in your voice itself but your speech patterns. Like if you removed all tone hints from your voice and made me guess guy/girl I’d guess girl with no hesitation even tho I can’t pinpoint exactly why - is that something you taught yourself consciously, or is it just kinda a natural product of being a woman in western culture?

I’ve given up on running ASA using a 5900x and a 10gb 3080, cuz I can barely get a stable 40fps at 4K with clouds turned off and the settings as low as I can tolerate them (including upscaling turned on). If you’re playing at a lower resolution you’ll obviously have a much better time with it than I do, but fair warning this game is just unoptimized as fuck.
My performance is entirely gpu-bound, but that’s also what you’d expect at 4K so if you run 1080p for example a 5000-series cpu would probably give you a big jump in performance. A 5950x, 5900xt, 5900x, 5800xt, etc would be a really nice upgrade from your current cpu and with a bios update your board should support them all. If you’re able to find one, a 5800x3d or 5700x3d would be ideal if this is a purely gaming pc for you, though they’re not as powerful for productivity stuff.
The only other thing I’d check out is just to see if you have vsync enabled / a framerate cap, your gpu usage being low is probably just from the cpu bottleneck but those two things can also cause it

Oh sorry I was in a rush reading your post the first time and fully missed that your wireless adapter was broken lol. Do you have a 3.5mm audio cable to use? I honestly don’t even know if the USB port supports audio but my gut feeling would be charging only (can’t imagine why they’d bother putting a DAC in the headphones). I won’t have my headphones or my pc for a couple days but I can poke around with this after that if you want anything tested on another similar setup, by then.
