Not a bad point. Probably preconfigured limits at location, or ignored setting set by people. I.e. we know we have high enough clearance for up to this much, we won’t set it off on bigger cars. On automated car park silos probably just a bar at the entrance (like they already exists) to allow only cars below a certain height.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•AliasVault: Privacy-first password manager with built-in email aliasing. Fully encrypted and self-hostable.
2·3 months agoI had the same thought, but skimming through documentation it doesn’t say how to access those emails. It has an smtp server to receive them, but how do I read them? Documentation doesn’t mention a web interface (e.g. roundcube) or pop3/imap server.

Game Development@programming.dev•Is it possible for a kid to develop games ? I mean not the computer wizkid, but the average one who is simply fond of playing computer games ??
2·3 months agoIt could be worse, you could have to sit through those meetings AND not be a developer 😅
But yeah, they are boring if not properly done (and I’ve seen them done properly once).

5·6 months agoThe problem with those is that the picture quality is not the same as traditional TVs.
If they don’t want to care about you they are not really friends. Doesn’t matter they never have to do it, it’s the principle.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How would I repurpose a work laptop?
36·7 months agoAnd your words show your lack of experience in the matter. Usually work laptops have their bios locked down, so you can’t access it and change the boot sequence and install what you want.
Some just put a password that sometimes can be reset, other times there are full on lockdowns by dedicated security apps that are very difficult (if not impossible) to circumvent.
I remember dreamweaver having plugins to remove frontpage bloated html

118·8 months agoYou have no idea why that happened though. Are you absolutely 100% sure he’s the only bad actor in the relationship? Maybe it wasn’t “just an affair”.
Don’t draw conclusions from limited information.
Good thing they’re not someone but something
Yeah, the AP ones
Hum, not my experience. I run it on an old pc as a podman container, for me and my wife, exactly for the same use case of OP: auto uploading the pictures/videos on our phones. Upload is almost instantaneous. Browsing files is fine, but I usually use a separate software to index/search the photos on the upload directory. For all kind of files (documents etc) is good.
