Yoo this is actually kinda sick, its star trek inspired clothing line.
They dont scream star trek but any fan will not miss it if they notice, I’m not sure I’d wear any around much even if I got one just because they are still slightly noticeable as not usual clothing but they just look like fancy clothes, some of them like the v necks or hoodies seem like they would be pretty wearable though. They sell the old dresses too, they stand out like a sore thumb lol If you are into leather jackets they would work well, they don’t stand out much but still very much seem like star trek.
They are suuuper expensive though I think the materials reflect their price
And they sell cool golden metal star trek badges
Too bad it’s an American company.
I think there are companies that you can ship to a valid address then ship to where you are but that is extra money unfortunately
I don’t think they meant it that way.
What do they mean? I have no idea lol
We’re a shit country run by psychopath billionaires and morons and so countries are outright boycotting all US companies.
Having to pay tariffs. Sending money to a country with an adversarial government. And it’s not even made in the US.
Unless there is some behind the scenes stuff not in the us they seem to be made in the us, probably material import costs maybe.
From their website:
“We will only be working with factories that pass a series of internationally-recognized certifications and audits.”
“We produce items in the US as well as abroad”
Why would a US factory need internationally recognized certifications? That kind of thing is meant to prevent unsafe sweatshop conditions in South-East Asia. Also they’re not specifying how much of their products are made in the US. If I went through the trouble to make 90% of the products domestically I would like to share that. So the balance is most likely leaning towards the other direction.
Oddly enough very product I checked said it was handmade in the US. So which products are made abroad?
I don’t want to be a A-hole over this. It’s cool they’re doing this, and seem to have their hearts in the right place. But I’ve seen too much shit in this space to believe things at face value.
Us Canucks have been boycotting U.S. products since the first round of tariffs.
I own a couple Volante items and can attest that their clothing and employees are both wonderful. My wife and I make a point to visit their booth early every GenCon. They’re an American company, but not a large or greedy one from what I know. (That said I couldn’t blame anyone outside the country for boycotting US products at this time.)
NO away mission field jacket from Wrath of Khan?!?! Good day to you, website.
Image? I can’t picture it for some reason, they do have other away mission clothes though
The style is unmatched
I wear a Volante item as my main light jacket - it’s fashionable, comfortable, and durable. Absolutely worth the price.
Starfleet 2256 - Section 31?
No, but very similar.
My partner and I have been ogling much of their wares for the last year or so. I could easily spend $3,000 on the website (you know, if I had $3,000 to blow on clothes).
Not bad, my favorite stuff is the TOS dresses. Which I could wear around if I was braver than I am. Rest of it clashes with my hoodie doomer style.
I started seeing the utility of the dresses after I saw the pockets
